Start at your financial institution
The process of getting a new mortgage or refinancing your property begins at your financial institution. After you have signed all required paperwork with your lender they will forward instructions to our office. Please call our office to let us know that you’ve chosen Manning Notaries to act for you, and the expected completion date for the mortgage.
We will ask you for some personal information, and will begin preparing documents for your mortgage. On average, the entire process takes 10 to 14 days to complete. Once we have all documents ready for you to sign, we will contact you and arrange an appointment that is convenient for you.
On the day of completion, we will ensure the registration(s) happen as soon and as smoothly as possible. We will advise you as soon as we have confirmation that the registration is complete and in the event that you are receiving mortgage proceeds, we will let you know what time your cheque will be available.
